PG&E - Our heroes in the photos (taken in the Sears parking lot on Junction Drive, Oakhurst) have restored some power back to local business and homes.  The Electrical Power was lost due to a White Out (Heavy Snow Storm) late on Saturday evening,3-19-11. Majestic Oak, Ponderosa Pine, & Cedars could not withstand the heavy snow and rain.  It created havoc on the area.  Hwy 41 - (DEADWOOD) coming into the Oakhurst Valley has had land slides and is closed on and off for ours at a time. Trees knocked out power poles Some of this area's business and many homes are still without power. More freezing rain and snow are due in this weekend.  Many homes have been destroyed or damaged. We are thankful that no lives have been lost.
