It's one and done for Tim McDonald at Fresno State.

McDonald, who helped develop Phillip Thomas into one of the top defensive backs in the nation, and turned Thomas and Derron Smith into one of the top safety tandems in college football, is leaving the Bulldogs to become the new defensive backs coach with the New York Jets.

McDonald is going back to the NFL, where he's a 12 year veteran, Pro Bowler and world champion with the San Francisco 49ers.

It will be interesting to see if the Jets will draft Tim's son T.J. or Thomas if they are both available when it's New York's turn to pick in this April's NFL Draft.
