Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Dwight Howard's Lakers debut ended in another preseason loss for Los Angeles, as the Sacramento Kings pulled out a 99-92 win on Sunday.

Howard, acquired in an offseason trade with the Magic, was playing his first game since undergoing back surgery to repair a herniated disc six months ago. The All-Star center played nearly 33 minutes and totaled 19 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks. He also committed five of LA's 22 turnovers.

DeMarcus Cousins and Aaron Brooks each scored 16 points for the Kings, who made all 21 of their free throw attempts.

The Lakers, winless in six preseason games, had their projected starting five play significant minutes, with Kobe Bryant leading all scorers with 21 points. Pau Gasol and Metta World Peace each chipped in 14 points, while Steve Nash logged six points, five assists and five boards in defeat.
