Wildfire in Kern County caused by lightening

A fire burning in the Jawbone Canyon area of Kern County is expected to grow to 8,000 acres on Monday.

The Kern County Fire Department reports 755 firefighters are fighting two fires: the Jawbone Fire that is 55% contained and the Rim Fire that is less than 20% contained.

The area is pretty remote with no communities near the flames.

Lightning sparked the fire on Friday.
