Firefighters are busy in the northern part of the State Friday morning.

They're battling a 1200 acre wildfire northeast of Sacramento in Placer County.

At least 150 homes have been evacuated and a couple hundred folks are staying at local shelters.

The blaze was only 10% as of Friday morning.

There is no word on what started the fire or when crews expect to have it contained.
