A popular college coach is coming back to Fresno to coach high school.  Adrian Wiggins left Fresno State earlier this year for a job at Ole Miss, but several months ago he was fired by the university after assistant coaches allegedly violated NCAA rules.  His job search took him back to Fresno.

Wiggins has verbally accepted a position at Clovis East High School.  Nothing is in writing yet,      but if everything works out, he'll move back to town next month.  CBS47 spoke exclusively to Wiggins on the phone from Dallas.  He said he's looking forward to coming back to Fresno, where he and his family lived for ten years while he coached the Bulldogs.

He also said that being publicly fired from Ole Miss was humbling, but he feels everything happens for a reason.

"I looked at it as more of a blessing, that maybe I was being saved from something rather than fired.  I'm excited about kind of being forced into doing what I've always wanted to do, which is coaching high school sports.  I love it. I've never shied away from that.  I've always told that to people that one day I would do it again,” said Wiggins.

No official announcement from the district yet, but the Clovis East athletic director confirms the search for a boys basketball coach is complete.
