Monday was opening arguments for the trial of Megan Martzen. She is the woman accused of killing 17 month old Ella VanLeeuwen back in 2009.
Investigators say Ella died from blunt force trauma to the head and abdomen. Martzen claims the child fell off the bed. Prosecution says Martzen killed baby Ella. Denfense argues that pre existing injuries to Ella could have led to her death.
