Weekend Drowning in Kings River

A man drowned the Kings River over the weekend.

The drowning happened north of the Olson Bridge in Reedley around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Fresno County rescue crews searched the river but could not locate the man in time to save him.

Paramedics performed CPR and rushed the man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man has been identified as 35-year-old Antonio Oroso.
