The Toys for Tots program has a new national sponsor and it's all because of the Central Valley.
Walgreens is now partnering with the United States Marine Corps to give toys to less fortunate kids.
This year, the need in the Valley is huge, and the contributions from Walgreens will allow the Toys for Tots program to reach even more kids.
SSgt. William Cardinal with the Toys for Tots program said, "It was because of this local area, the Fresno valley, this Central Valley, that Walgreens has now become a nationwide sponsor for Toys for Tots, so it's great to see the community come together like this. In the Central Valley alone, 41 Walgreens that are all drop points for us to collect toys so that we can help the underprivileged children of the Valley."
The Walgreens across from Fig Garden Village at Shaw & Palm has a special Toys for Tots deal where you can get two for one deals on toys at that location as long as one is donated to the program. That deal is only good at the Fig Garden location. All other Walgreens stores serve only as drop off points.
