Saturday night, police in Visalia arrested a teacher at Golden West High School for allegedly having sex with a 17-year old student.
The suspect is 49 year old Eric Ford. He teaches computer applications and business technology courses. He is also the leader of a campus club called Virtual Enterprise.
For the Visalia Union School District, this is its third case in the last year with allegations that a staff member had sex with a student.
In May, a 30 year old girl’s assistant basketball coach at Golden West named Robert Gonzales was arrested.
In December, it was a female teacher at Mount Whitney High School. 27 year old Lianne Trout was accused of having sex with a 16 year old who was her former student.
