Fresno police shut down two different chop shops in the Pinedale area on Thursday.

The two locations were operating within a block of each other on West Pinedale Avenue, but police say they were not working together.

Police raided the first location following a tip from a citizen. Two suspects were in the process of putting stolen parts from one vehicle onto another.

While officers were at the first scene, some citizens whose trailer was stolen Thursday morning came up and said they spotted their missing trailer a block away.

Police investigated and say the second chop shop was operating on two adjacent properties and arrested three people there.
