One-hundred-thousand-dollars worth of stolen trucks, trailers and landscaping equipment recovered Tuesday night.

And two people are under arrest.

The stolen items came from a locked storage yard in Madera at C and 6th Streets.

The trucks were found in a field and at a home on Chestnut and American.

The thieves wiped out a small landscaping business in Madera,    stealing all of their equipment and the trucks they used for work.

Police found most of the items at a home south of Fresno.

Fresno police officers went into a home with guns drawn.

They found a stolen truck and trailer on the property along with tens of thousands of dollars worth of lawn care equipment.

“Most people take this sort of equipment and they sell it on the black market,” said Sgt. Robert Salas with the Madera Police Department.

The equipment, truck and trailer belong to "Grover landscaping" out of Madera.

One of their employees, Pablo Salazar, discovered the items missing when he arrived for work.

“We went to do yard work but I don't see the trucks,” said Salazar.

He said the chain link fence around the storage yard was cut.

Three trucks and three trailers were gone.

With no tools, employees couldn't work.

Then late in the afternoon, they got the call.

Two of the trucks and trailers had been recovered.

“They broke the ignition the door locks, you can see the damage,” Salazar said.

The thieves tried to scrape the name of the business off the side of the truck.

The workers identified all of the stolen goods and got their equipment back.

“We are happy we get to work tomorrow,” Salazar said.
