A teenager is under arrest after a botched break-in in Northeast Fresno.

The boy is accused of breaking into a home through a window Friday morning near Millbrook and Bullard.

Police say he tried to steal jewelry and money but was interrupted when the couple living there awoke and and confronted him.

The teen made a gesture as if he had a gun and tried to run.

Fortunately, police were on the scene quickly and were able to arrest the young suspect with various stolen items.

Investigators are now trying to determine if he's responsible for similar break-ins in the area.
