Police say three Fresno gang members were arrested for suspicion of extorting money from the homeless.

Ivan Rangel, Aldo Limon and Joseph Juarez were taken into custody, accused of intimidation and taking money from the homeless who had set up their tents in the area of E Street and Los Angeles in downtown Fresno.

One of the suspects, Ivan Rangel, was arrested for a shooting that took place three blocks away from the site back in May.

That shooting investigation led police to the extortion case involving the three men.
