Police are looking for two armed robbers after an unprovoked attack on a store clerk.

The two male suspects walked into Sam's Market and Gasoline near Blackstone and Clinton and demanded cash from the store clerk.

After the clerk handed them the money, they pistol whipped him.

Lt. Mike Doyle with the Fresno Police Department said, "Well the clerk did everything that was asked of him.  Why they resorted to more violence is beyond me."

Detectives are now checking security cameras for a better description of the gunmen.
