The State Senate narrowly passed the high-speed rail project along party lines on Friday, just as it was passed by the State Assembly on Thursday.

Republicans were strongly against the bill and even some Democrats voted against it, but in the end, the bill was passed 21-16, which is exactly how many votes were needed.

The bill now moves onto the Governor.

When California is completely broke, the money that will first have to be paid is for the high speed rail. Before teachers, before public safety, before anything else. I hope you all remember this when they start closing schools, that it was all done by democrats. Not one single republican voted for it. You just can't fix stupid.
