There was a Special Olympics basketball tournament at Hoover High on Friday.
There were teams from all over the Central Valley participating in the tournament in Fresno.
Event organizer, Shawn Toomer said, "It's a sense of accomplishment. They can come and compete and play like any other athlete. That's their biggest thing... they want to compete just like anybody else and we're giving them that opportunity."
This is the 23rd year for the tournament.
