Shooting in Fresno County

A man is in critical condition after an overnight shooting in Fresno County.

The shooting happened around 3:00 a.m. Thursday morning at a mobile home on W. Nielsen Avenue, which is in the area Marks and Belmont.

A friend drove the victim to Community Regional Medical Center.

Police questioned the friend and determined the shooting occurred in the county, so the Fresno County Sheriff's Department has taken over the investigation.

The location has been locked down while deputies wait for a search warrant.

Crime scene investigators were on the scene at the time of this report and are providing few details.
