There's shock and relief on the campus of Fresno State, after students learn about a campus battery a couple days after it happened.
Police arrested 48-year-old Fidel Tafoya Sunday Evening.
He's a registered sex offender, listed on the Megan's law website.
The student told police the suspect inappropriately touched her at a desk inside the main campus library.
The library was busy Tuesday night but students were on edge.
Flyers with the suspect’s face were circulated around campus.
A campus spokesman says students were in no immediate danger after the arrest.
The suspect has eleven aliases according to the Megan's Law website.
He was arrested for sexual battery and providing false ID to an officer.
Back in 2009, he plead no contest to lewd acts on a child and sat in prison for 3 years.
