Around 9:30pm on Thursday night, police found 59-year-old Albert Rodriguez injured lying on the ground at the Summerset Village Apartment complex off East Weldon Avenue. Albert Rodriguez lived at the complex with his family. He got a discount on his rent for taking on the responsibility of keeping the area safe.Rodriguez was confronting some trouble makes on Thursday night at the complex. The property manager came out to check on his security guard right as the group was attacking him. Rodriguez was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center where he died early Friday morning. Rodriguez did not carry a gun, just a flashlight and a radio.
