Dozens of police cars vandalized in Fresno.
Graffiti sprayed on the cruisers, tires slashed.
Crews replaced *dozens* of tires on Fresno police cars.
Overnight, the tires were slashed.
The cars covered with spray paint at the northeast substation.
“I find it interesting I had done an interview at the Northeast station late last night for another news channel and after that interview aired something like this happened here at the same station,”
Jacky Parks is the president of the Fresno police officers association.
This same time last year - during budget talks - a brick was thrown through the front window of the union headquarters.
“Let’s hope this is the end of it,” said Parks.
And last August a police truck was set on fire at the Southwest substation.
A group claimed responsibility online saying it was "done in solidarity" with those in the East Bay "standing up against the murderous BART police".
No arrests have been made.
For those who live near the northeast police substation, this is exactly opposite of what they expected having police as neighbors.
“To me it’s kind of unnerving because we really feel pretty safe with the police right over our fence,” said Ron Dressler, who lives next to the police station.
