A large number of weapons are off the street in the South Valley.
A three month drug investigation led to the arrest of Salvador Almanza and Gina Riportella in Visalia on Thursday.
During a search of their home, officers found 19 rifles, an assault rifle, and three handguns. They also found methamphetamine and $10,000 in cash.
Sgt. Amy Watkins said, "Some were rifles. There was a sawed-off shotgun, pistol grip shotgun which is illegal. Also the assault rifle and those are the type of weapons that with this type of criminal activity going on it is illegal to possess."
Both suspects face several drug and weapons charges.
