According to the FAA registry, the single engine plane is registered to Floyd Johnston Construction Company in Clovis.

We talked to some of the employees off camera and while they would not confirm who was on that plane, they are flying the flag at half staff out of respect to the family.

The crash happened Sunday afternoon when the preliminary report by the FAA states air traffic controllers lost radar contact with the plane.

Kern County Sheriff's department found the plane wreckage earlier Monday morning.

Since the crash site is in a remote area, authorities say it was a bit of a challenge getting to the site.
