Overnight drowning near Dos Palos

A 20-year-old Dos Palos man drowned in the San Joaquin River, where he was reportedly swimming in the middle of the night.

The man was reported missing around 3:00 a.m. and witnesses say he may have been drinking.

The man's body was found around 9:00 a.m.

The victim's identity has not been released.
