A parolee is back behind bars after leading officers on a pursuit through two counties.
Fresno Police attempted to pull over Victor Mata, who was driving a stolen vehicle, near Clinton and 9th Street in Southeast Fresno early Friday morning but he refused to stop.
Mata led police to Highway 41, where they requested assistance from the California Highway Patrol. CHP took over the pursuit at Highway 41 and Friant, crossing into Madera County.
Mata finally stopped at Highway 41 and Road 208 where he was taken into custody.
