42-year-old William Shannon Reed faces several felony charges in connection with the bombing at the Bass Lake courthouse.
The explosion in the early morning hours of August 14th damaged a door. But luckily no one was hurt.
Investigators honed in on Reed as their suspect.
“They were working leads and tips. They caught up with him near road 426,” said Erica Stuart with the Madera County Sheriff’s Department.
It was here near Dale Lane that Reed was arrested.
“He happened to be standing next to a stolen pickup with a flat tire and he was also in possession of methamphetamine,” said Stuart.
Anthony Gracia lives at the intersection and saw the arrest.
“I just seen them have somebody on the ground behind a tree in the backyard and I had no clue what was going on,” said neighbor Anthony Gracia.
Reed is on parole. He's been in an out of prison and in and out of jail.
“He does sport a white pride tattoo. He says, according to Department of Corrections, that he's not involved with a gang. But none the less the white pride is pretty prominent,” said Stuart.
