A break in the case after a carjacker uses a gun to terrify a victim.
It started when a clerk at a pharmacy had his vehicle stolen.  Things got dangerous in a hurry as a carjacking team then used terror tactics to make off with the car.

Crystal Gonzalez, Emily Perez and a juvenile were arrested after police found them inside of the car that was stolen from Vista Pharmacy early Wednesday morning.

"They have been now currently arrested for possession of the stolen property, which is the car, and we're investigating them for the carjackings," said Fresno Police Department Sergeant, Tim Tietjen.

Through undercover investigation, police tracked down the stolen vehicle, a white corolla, at the 200 block of South Jackson.  They set up surveillance and waited for the suspects to jump back in. Then, they then followed the car to East Balch where they made the arrests.

"We're serving two search warrants at this location and the location on Jackson to look for evidence of the crime including the handgun," said Sergeant Tietjen.

CBS47 spoke to the shaken owner of Vista Pharmacy on Cedar and Tulare in Fresno.  He described what happened as a female carjacker jumped into a delivery car as it was being moved in the back of his business.  A man pulled  up in a dark SUV and used a gun to terrify the helpless driver.

"He pulled up behind our car and pulled out a weapon and fired a shot into the air and told him to leave her alone and the woman drove off with the car," said Pharmacy owner, Michael Winton.

Police are still investigating if either of the two women found inside the stolen car Wednesday night are a part of the carjacking, but say they are all gang affiliated.
They are now on the search for the man with the gun.

"We have an idea of who he is, but we're not going to put that out right at this time," said Sergeant Tim Tietjen.

Police say the carjacking victim did not suffer any injuries.
