Armed robbers stole as much as $2 million in gold nuggets and gems from the California State Mining & Mineral Museum Friday afternoon.
CBS47 spoke with Roy Stearns, the deputy director of California state parks.  He says two staff members were in the museum when armed robbers entered and took the items.  The staff members were unharmed.  The museum's collection began in 1880 and contains gold in many forms as well as gems.  Investigators are still taking inventory of what was stolen.  They hope to release a description of the suspects this weekend.
