Fresno County sheriff deputies cleared a huge marijuana grow Wednesday morning.

The pot was found growing in a 140 acre field southeast of Fresno in Fresno County.

It's unknown exactly how much marijuana was growing in the field because deputies were still pulling the mature plants out when this report was done.

Fresno County sheriff Margret Mims says there were no medical marijuana recommendation cards posted, so the growers were not even attempting to use that to grow the drug.

Some of the plants were more than 12 feet tall.
