It is wonderful to have such a great event as the Two Cities Marathon and have even volunteered working the event in the past. I live in the Copper River Ranch area next to Friant Rd. There is a big concern have this year. For several hours this morning, I had no way out. I am a Registered Nurse on call for my hospital today. If there was an emergency, I would not have be able to respond in time. I spoke to a Fresno PD officer on duty at an intersection on Friant Rd. He told me it would be best to ride my bike to get to the hospital. A friend of mine who is retired from law enforement couldn't get through on Willow St He was trapped in a traffic jam. Willow was listed as one of the streets open for traffic. Come on Fresno PD, you at least need to get emergency personal through.I shouldn't have to sleep overnight in the hospital parking lot just in case I get called into to a surgery.
