The end of the Batman trilogy brought some of Gotham City’s most recognizable characters to one of Fresno’s most popular movie theatres.

“I have Joker, Scarecrow, Bane, Riddler, Two-Face,” said Eric Trevino who dressed up as a Bane, a new villain in the movie.

Director Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" is an occasion for hardcore Batman fans to get into character.

“I’m a little angry,” said one fan dressed as two-faced.

“The Dark Knight falls... the new one rises,” said Bane.

Even the most knowledgeable Batman experts can’t predict whether the latest film will break box office records.

It’s 2008 predecessor, “The Dark Knight,” grossed over a billion dollars, worldwide.

7 years after the “Batman Begins,” the owner of “Heros Comics" in Fresno is selling collectibles like crazy.

“I think there's a larger following because people grew up on Batman... from the TV show to the movies..” said Dave Allread.
