Sisters use the time to take a break from Super Bowl parties.

"Too noisy, too hectic for us," said movie goer, Perlene Alvarado.

Like them, others are at movie theaters taking advantage of the light crowds.

"Usually Sundays, there's a lot of people especially after church and it's kind of
the last day before the whole week starts," said movie goer, Nicole Curtis.

"You could watch the movie without someone yelling in your ear," said another movie goer, Jordan Ruth.

We also found people using the few hours during game day to shop.

"Less foot traffic, but more serious shoppers," said owner of Kwirkworld, Kirk Psenner.

Psenner is shocked there's been a steady flow of customers.

"A lot of women fashions are selling which surprised me, so the women are coming in," said Psenner.

Perfect Balance Yoga also drew the women in. Yoga classes have been offered there during Super Bowl Sunday for the last 10 years.

"It's a great way to have an alternative to watching the game," said Joanne Bazarian.

One mother attending the yoga class with her daughter says the time spent together is worth more than any football game.

"She really is very busy even though we live in the same town, so this is our quality time," said Rose Hull.
