The fiscal cliff deal was passed by congress, but not everyone is happy with the decision made.

Representative Tom McClintock voted against the resolution, he says the country is headed for financial ruin.

"The real fiscal cliff is the impending bankruptcy of our country. That measure brings us quite a bit closer to that precipice," said McClintok.

Others aren't entirely against it.

"It seemed like a reoccurance of groundhog day, the movie," said Jim Costa.

Representative Jim Costa says he voted for it to avoid going over the cliff altogethe, but feels the entire issue should have been addressed long ago.

"There were some good things, there were some things I didn't care for, but that's kind of the nature of legislation," said Costa.

But Congressman Devin Nunes says the deal passed by congress was a decision made under pressure.

"We should have waited and not done it at 2am, it became a christmas tree loaded full of pork," Nunes said.

Nunes says a lot of people were focusing too much on the tax rates portion of the fiscal cliff rather than other financial issues.

"There was a whole section about $36 billion in 1 year of giveaways to special interest," said Nunes.
