Kathryn Ellis appeared in court on Tuesday to answer to charges that she murdered her husband last week.
The 48-year-old mother plead not guilty and claims her husband, 54-year-old Robert Ellis, was shot in their home by an intruder last Wednesday.
Investigators arrested Ellis the next day and charged her with the murder.
The couple's 15-year-old son was not home at the time of the murder.
