Jail time for South Valley mother of truant kids

A South Valley mom was sentenced to 180-days in the Kings County Jail.

34-year-old Lorraine Cuevas pled guilty to violating the state's "chronic truancy" law.

Cuevas has two kids in elementary school and they apparently missed 116-days of classes and she did not provide any valid excuses.
