Fresno County sheriff's deputies are looking into a body found near Caruthers.
Farmworkers found the body Monday afternoon in the area of Mountain View and Jameson.
Deputy Chris Curtice said, "Only part of the body is visible at this time, so when the coroner's office gets here, they'll by doing some digging and try not to disturb too much around the body and that will definitely be part of the investigation."
Investigators say the body was partially buried in a cornfield.
