Residents of the Kings County town have been trying for years to lure the chain to their area, even setting up a Facebook page to attract attention to their campaign.
It appears their hard work is paying off, after the In-N-Out corporation confirmed that it is scouting locations around Hanford to open a new restaurant.
In a statement to CBS47, a spokesperson said, "We do have a site that we are working on in Hanford and we're very enthusiastic about the possibility of opening a restaurant there. Once we begin construction on a restaurant, it usually takes us 4 to 5 months to get open and we still have some work to do before we can start construction."
