A tradition in trouble. Bullard High School parents say their school isn't making the grade.

Hundreds showed up at a town hall meeting Tuesday night.

They listed problems like overcrowding, school fights, and poor academics.

Some believe the problems stem from a high transfer rates and lack of school funds.

“We’re putting out two cents in... hoping things will change to what it used to be,” said Jeff Najarian, who is considering sending his son to Bullard.

District officials maintain some parents are full of false claims, particularly when it comes to enrollment. "About 20% of Bullard High population are transfer students; students who don't reside in attendance boundaries," said District Deputy Superintendent Ruth Quinto.

Parents plan to show up at the Fresno Unified School Board meeting Wednesday night to air out those complaints.
