Hundreds more gathered in Fresno to raise money to combat A-L-S known as Lou Gherig’s Disease.

People and even their dogs were out for the walk.

It raised more than $50,000 and awareness for A-L-S.

“A lot of people have heard of Lou Gherig’s disease, but a lot of people don’t know what it means. So having a walk creates lots of visibility and creates the opportunity for people to come out and do something in support for those who have the disease,” Fred Fisher said.

Currently there are more than 400 people in the valley who are living with Lou Gherig’s Disease.
