Fresno got a little taste of Scotland today.Hundreds of people came out to enjoy the 35th annual Highland Gathering and Games at Kearney Park.
The event featured food, games and music of Scottish descent and gave those with Scottish descent a chance to stay in touch with their heritage.
“I’m so glad we can have this because it’s so reminiscent of what my parents talked about, we’re close to family this way, all the clans together, we’re family,” Charlie McPherson said.
The event was also host of the North American Hammer throw competition where dozens competed for a chance at the title.
