A home near Chestnut and McKinley caught fire for the second day in a row.

Fire crews were called to the house on the 4800 block of East Harmon Friday morning.

A neighbor spotted smoke and flames coming the the 2-story home around 7:15 a.m.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire. The renters stayed somewhere else because of damage to the home from a kitchen fire Thursday afternoon.

A small dog that was left in the home died in Friday morning's fire.

Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of this latest fire.

That's easy. The fire department didn't do their job correctly or check to make sure all embers were out.
