House fire sets off ammunition

There were shots fired at an overnight house fire in Fresno County.

Fire crews responded to a home at Barstow and Dickenson Avenues west of Fresno around 11:30 p.m. 

When they arrived, they heard ammunition going off inside the home and had to back off and let the fire burn.

The man inside the home was able to get out safely.

The cause of the fire and damage estimates are not known at this time.
