Fresno sheriff's deputies arrested a suspected car thief following a high-speed chase on Highway 168 on Tuesday.

The chase led from the foothills from Prather to Clovis.

The chase started with a burglary in Fresno County.

The suspect stole a newer model Camaro but that car was equipped with a tracking service that helped Fresno County deputies hone in on him.

The chase hit speeds of up to 130 miles an hour as deputies followed the Camaro into Clovis.

Deputies eventually decided to stop the chase for safety reasons.

The suspect ditched the car and a nearby police officer noticed and alerted deputies.

The suspect is now in custody.
