The Bonilla family felt like the Whos in Whoville when they woke one morning to discover their Christmas had been stolen.
“It was one of those moments where you had to kind of think like, what's missing right here,” said Manuel Bonilla.
The Grinch came by in the dead of the night and snatched their Snoopy house Christmas decoration.
“I just found this empty outlet here where the Snoopy was and that's when it all kind hit me that it was gone,” said Manuel.
The Bonilla's collect Charlie Brown souvenirs and have spent hours hand-making some of the decorations in their yard.
“Really sad that they would steal part of our families first Christmas,” said wife, Chelsea Bonilla.
They've even tried searching Craigslist for their Snoopy decoration in hopes of finding the Grinch.
“Just ask them really, you know why, I mean that's the biggest thing. Why somebody would do that,” said Manuel.
Their next door neighbor says it's usually a pretty calm area.
“It's a quiet neighborhood. I've been here 5 years. We had this house built and never had any problems with anyone stealing,” said neighbor, Ken McPherson.
The Bonilla's try to look at it as whoever stole their property must have needed it more than them.
They're not going to let the Grinch ruin their Christmas.
“I hope that the criminals enjoy Charlie Brown as much as we do and hopefully that Snoopy gets a beautiful home somewhere,” said Chelsea.
The Bonilla family says they’re still making the most of the season. They plan on replacing the Snoopy decoration in time for next year.
