The Grapevine I-5 mountain pass is open in both directions.
Update: Friday 9:00 a.m.
The southbound lanes over the Grapevine have been reopened. The CHP is escorting northbound lanes.
Thursday 4:00 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol closed the Grapevine section of Interstate 5 for the second time because of snow.
The mountain pass was closed around 4:00 p.m. and they gave no indication of when it may reopen.
The Grapevine was also closed Thursday morning for snow.
