A Valley slaughterhouse under investigation for animal cruelty is getting back a big customer.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture will resume buying from Central Valley Meat Company in Hanford.
The U.S.D.A. says improved oversight at the facility prompted the move. Inspectors found no evidence that any sick cattle entered the food supply.
The government had suspended purchases after undercover video by an animal rights group showed alleged inhumane treatment of animals.
