Restaurants and clubs were packed Tuesday night in Fresno's Tower District for the annual Mardi Gras celebration.

Fresno police say the night went well and things never got out of hand.

Lt. Tony Bennick with the Fresno Police Department said, "It's really been a pretty good night out here. The crowds are moderate to heavy. People have been behaving themselves pretty well. We've made a few arrests. We picked up a few on curfew but by and large it's really been a pretty nice evening out here."
