A Fresno woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 5 near Bakersfield over the weekend.
67-year-old Sumiko Imamura died Sunday when the SUV she was riding in was hit by a big rig with no brakes on northbound I-5. Imamura was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The driver was unable to get to the emergency exit and the truck continued another six miles, hitting several other cars, before getting the truck stopped.
Three others were injured and all northbound lanes were closed for about two hours.
CHP is investigating the crash.
