Investigators are trying to figure out what lead to the death of a Fresno woman, 41-year old Kassandra Atterberry.
She was found dead Wednesday evening inside a home in Sacramento. Police are ruling it a murder-suicide.
Investigators in Sacramento focused their attention to a Colonial Heights home off 15th avenueWednesday evening. After two people turned up dead inside. Worried family members stopped by the Colonial Heights home off 15th avenue to check if the couple was ok and made the startling discovery.
“It is a murder suicide. It's isolated to that location and we do not believe there is any other danger to the public,” said Dough Morse of the Sacramento Police Dept.
The coroner has only identified Atterberry to this point. The other person, a man in his 40s, was her boyfriend. Investigators are not sure how they died or who the aggressor was in this case. Autopsies to try and determine their cause of deaths is scheduled for Friday.
