FSU isn’t the only thing hurt by the economy. Fresno County libraries are getting ready to cut costs. The library system is looking at 4 furlough days in the coming months. It’s a part of the County-Wide effort to cut costs.
The majority of the library’s budget comes from property taxes and the Measure B “Sales Tax Funds”. Both have dropped in the last 5 years.
The 1st furlough day is on Wednesday, November 25th – just before Thanksgiving. On that day, ALL Fresno County branches will be closed.
